About

Nagomi comes from Japanese philosophy, and expresses the fragility of life, in a harmony in tension that inolves embracing challenges and differences with peace, nurturing regenerative practice through collective care.*

Nagomi is an (ad)venture aspiring to evolve into a not-for-profit cooperative. We are a think tank and an agency of sorts, but also hope to detach from such labels, as they carry legacy of a different time period.

We live in a world where our leaders don’t lead with example, and we need new perspectives to develop active hope for the future.

Nagomi recognises the paradox of living and operating within a system that co-opts us to be in conflict with our own visions. Yet, we must embrace that paradox, operate within the system, while resisting conforming to it.

*This is my own lose interpretation inspired by Ken Mogi's book "The way of Nagomi", but contextualised in world of turbulence and polarisation, where even good intentions lead to division. Nagomi as a project aspires to embrace complexity, remain aware of nuances and different perspectives to help cultivate qualities and practices that support meaningful, transformative change.
